Stepping Back & Slowing Down

An announcement about our company restructuring, taking effect from 1st November 2022

After 25 years of service to Lymphoedema, it is time for me to step back a little and reduce my workload. It is also, in part, due to my health. I need to take better care of myself, and to invest in myself so that I do not become a burden to my children in the future. And it is also equal in part to help my mom care for my dad, who has become more unstable and very frail. My mom is already 79 and not young anymore (although she is more than a dedicated wife; nursing my dad single handedly for the past 21 years, from the time he was first diagnosed with Parkinsons. She never left his side and took care of him, regardless of the challenges, quarrels or complaints.

Now I need to be independent once again. As a solo practice I can be flexible with my time, I can make my schedule around my parents' care giving, and I can still look after my patients. I think it’s a win-win; I can nevertheless remain in service, provide garments and oil blends, just at a slightly reduced capacity.

And so I ask for your understanding as time slots become a little harder to find, and when I may suddenly have to cancel. It’s going to be business as usual, but at a slower pace.

Thank you for all your support, and your faith in my work and my skills over all these years, even though the insurance agencies constantly challenged my identity and qualifications. Thank you most of all for believing in me.
